Cheryl Jones was nominated for the Washington Area Music Award in the category, Best Jazz Vocalist. It was a true honor to be nominated alongside her dear friend Ms. Janine Gilbert-Carter and her teacher and mentor, the late Ms. Ronnie Wells-Elliston. Ronnie won! It was about time!!

Dateline: Saturday, October 21, 2006....huge turn-out, including my family from Texas and best friend, Elisa. With Eric Byrd on piano, James "Tex" King on bass, Greg Holloway on drums and Roger "Buck" Hill on tenor sax, the night was magical. Add Mr. Francis Richards on steel drum, Dr. Elisa Brown and Mr. Kim Mills on vocal duets and I could not have asked for a more exciting CD release. Thanks to all my friends and family for your support.
